This performance motor sailer  was first launched in 1996 in Bodrum, the traditional centre of wooden boat building in Turkey. In Bodrum, the shipyard experience of many centuries is nowadays combined with the latest techniques of modern yacht building.

That’s why the designer, naval architect Fuat Turan, chose for her construction exotic woods of much higher quality than the commonly used pine.Yilmaz shipyard, where she was finished, used only worldwide renowned makes of glue, paint and other construction material.

She was initially designed and has always been used as a private boat, she has been maintained carefully and is in excellent condition. Her hull is made of okume and tetra, the deck is full
iroko overlay, bulkheads and wheelhouse are finished in mahogany and Sapele. The iroko overlay is fixed on special marine plywood, which has also been used for the finishing of the interior.

Masts and booms are made of special white pine and are assembled with epoxy glue and stainless steel screws. The hull is coated with polyurethane and painted with acrylic paint.

In the bow there is a lazarette which is accessible through a large hatch on the foredeck.

Next aft, full width across the yacht, lies the master stateroom which is situated at the end of a central passageway belowstairs. The one starboard and the two port guest cabins each have double berths. The master cabin and the 3 guest cabins each have an enclosed shower and toilet en-suite.

Next aft the starboard cabin there is a practical and well equipped galley. Splash and working areas as well as refrigerator, oven and sinks are all finished in stainless steel.
The refrigerator works with 220 V or 24 V.

Next, aft the cabin section there is a large and practical engine room, above which there is the wheelhouse with the salon. On the front port side is the inside steering station with navigation table, and a bar is situated in the forward starboard side. Aft on the starboard side there is a large dining table and an upholstered lounge area.

At the salon’s entrance from the aft port side there are steps down leading to both the engine room and the crew accommodation aft.
The crew cabin has 3 berths and separate shower/WC.

On the aft deck is the cockpit with the outside steering station and a dining table with chairs and cushioned seats. The large foredeck and the forward house top are ideal places for sunbathing.

A sailing yacht of the “schooner” type, besides her aesthetic appearance, she is a practical and very solid boat.

All rigging is made of stainless steel and has been carefully tested. Altogether, there are 12 winches by Lewmar. Also the blocks and travelers are by Lewmar.

The sail inventory consists of two genoa sails (normal and light) on roller furling, two main sails, one staysail and one fisherman. All sails have been produced by “Dolphin Sails” and are in first class condition. The total sail surface is 450 m².

Navigation equipment:
Chart plotter (Shipmate RS2400), Autopilot (Robertson), Radar (Simrad/Inritsu), VHF (Shipmate), Compass (Silva), Speed, Log, Wind and Depth Sounder (Silva), with indicators on both in- and outside control panels. Telephone (Nokia), TV and music system (Sony).

All electrical equipment and armatures were imported from the French company Reya, one of the best known in the world.

The yacht is powered by a 450 HP Caterpillar engine which has up to now only run 300 hours.

The gearbox is a Twindisk 1/3 reduction. The electrical system consists of a 18 KW Kohler generator and a Victron-Atlas inverter with a capacity of 1200 Ah with 6 batteries. Windlass: Lofrans-Titan. Water heater 2x 40lt Raritan.

Toilets, lavatories, vacuum tanks and pumps were imported from the famous US company Sealand.

The twin steering works with a hydraulic system by Pompes LS(France).

She carries in total 6 tons of diesel fuel, 12 tons of fresh water and 4 tons of blackwater.

Certainly one of the most successful synthesis of the sympathetic characteristics of a traditional wooden gulet with modern yacht construction, possibly there is no better proof of this success than the triple championship in the “International Bodrum Cup Wooden Yacht Regatta” that she won in 1996, 1998 and 1999.
